What’s involved
A floor you can live on
Interior slabs finished as one seamless floor, wall to wall.
Interior concrete turns up in more homes than people expect: laundries, rumpus rooms, granny flats, mudrooms and the room downstairs that never quite got finished. Left bare it’s dusty and looks unfinished. Tiled, it comes with grout lines to scrub.
An epoxy flake floor gives the slab one seamless surface from wall to wall. There are no joints for dirt to collect in, spills wipe straight up, and the flake adds colour and texture so the room looks finished rather than industrial.
What it goes over
Epoxy is laid on concrete. In most cases existing tiles, vinyl, floorboards or carpet, and the adhesive underneath, have to come up first so the slab can be diamond ground and properly prepared.
Moisture
Ground-level slabs can carry moisture, and moisture is one of the main things that affects how a coating performs. If the room has ever had damp problems, mention it when you ask for a quote.
Choosing a colour
Browse the Ultra Flake and Hyper Flake colour charts, or upload a photo of the room to the free colour visualiser and try a few blends on before you decide.
The process
How an indoor floor job runs

Clear the room
Furniture out, and any existing floor coverings lifted.
Grind & repair
The slab is diamond ground and any cracks or holes are repaired.
Flake & clear coats
The epoxy base, flake and clear coats go down wall to wall.
Cure
Furniture goes back once the floor has fully cured.

Can you put epoxy flooring inside a house?
Yes, on concrete slabs. Laundries, rumpus rooms, granny flats and other interior concrete can be finished with a seamless epoxy flake floor.
Can epoxy go over tiles?
It’s laid on concrete, so in most cases tiles and their adhesive come up first and the slab is ground back. Tell us what’s on the floor now when you send photos.
Is indoor epoxy flooring easy to clean?
Yes. It’s one seamless surface with no grout lines, so a sweep and a mop is all it needs, and spills wipe straight up.
How much does indoor epoxy flooring cost?
It depends on the floor area, what has to be removed first and the condition of the slab, so every indoor floor is quoted individually, and quotes are free. Send through a few photos and rough measurements and we can come back with a price.
